Randall May International (RMI) is the leading pioneer in marching percussion supportive technology. In short, RMI is a constantly raising the bar with every May innovation. Backart designed the RMI brand over 10 years ago and just completed their new website to showcase this innovative line of premiere products. Keeping up with the “Mind of May” (never a still moment) has been a rewarding joy over the years.

Rudi Backart has helped to create the Vara Wines brand from the company’s inception in 2015. Backart created a logo design and packaging for 8 different wine types. Backart also produced a website to provide wine enthusiasts with product and purchasing information while reinforcing the unique brand qualities of the Vara family of wines.

T H E   G R O V E   C A F E   &   M A R K E T
Rudi was the creative director for The Grove brand when she was with VWC (an advertising firm, now RK Venture) in Albuquerque in 2006. In 2016, The Grove contacted Rudi to do a soft-rebrand for this thriving restaurant which now boasts a team of over 30 culinary-minded individuals. Backart simplified The Grove Cafe & Market logo and designed new branding for their own product lines as well as a package design for “Fancy” - the house-made hot sauce created by owner and Executive Chef, Jason Greene. A new website was also developed to showcase this favorite breakfast, brunch and lunch cafe.

M A T A   G   V E G E T A R I A N
Mata G Vegetarian deli will open in 2018 in Albuquerque’s Nob Hill district. Owner and “head cook”, Gurubachan Khalsa, has lived her life creating yummy vegetarian meals passed down from generations of her healthy vegan-committed lifestyle. The vegetarian-friendly menu will satisfy non-meat-eaters with a variety of freshly prepared menu items in eco-friendly Good-to-Go containers. The Mata G logo was inspired by Gurubachan’s beloved Beet Borscht which will be a regular item in the deli.

These posters were designed to introduce DemoMe Marketing, a service provider of professionally trained brand ambassadors/demonstrators, to the natural foods market. We named it the “Brag Series” – advertising those who have found their career niche as ”Professional Show Offs.”

Quiet Light Publishing specializes in the publication of fine art photographic works, archival fine art prints and photographic books of extraordinary quality. Backart designed Quiet Light’s first photography book by Richard Mack, The Lewis & Clark Trail. Four books have followed as well as a poster series of Mack’s extraordinary work over a span of more than thirty years.
